Kayama Enterprises Ltd. 3 Anniversary Celebration

Kayama Enterprises Ltd., which is famous for exporting albacore tuna caught in Canadian water, celebrated their 3rd anniversary with a big party at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in downtown Vancouver.

Kayama Enterprises Ltd. was established by 3rd generation Canadian Japanese Doug Yokoyama and Hong Kong born Daniel Leung. Albacore tuna, spotted prawn and herring roe are among many other kinds of seafood that they are selling and expanding very rapidly.

The major exporting country is Japan whereby they developed a special supply system to accommodate the taste and requirement of the Japanese market. Kayama Enterprises Ltd. are awarded the "BC Export Award" given by the BC state for the company that contributes to the export and economy of British Columbia for their marketing innovation last December.

CEO Daniel Leung said in the opening speech "The beginning sales for Kayama is very bad, after many years of hard work and we have turned around with business expanding rapidly. This would not be possible without the support of everybody including our customers, suppliers and our staff. I hope everyone will take this opportunity to celebrate our 3rd anniversary."

President Doug Yokoyama added, "Kayama's Albacore Tuna brand had been established with the help of many parties. Point of control when fishing and processing of the fish while on board and transportation leads to exceptional high quality fish. The strong relationship build between customers and suppliers is also a major factor of our success."

The strong relationship between Kayama & Japan, prompted by the fact that Doug is 3rd generation Canadian Japanese. The party consists of Japanese traditional dance, musical instrument "Sake Drum Breaking" and finally traditional Japanese style closing ceremony of clapping hand “3 Bon Shime”. All these events come form the idea of the staff of Kayama Enterprises Ltd. who brings in Japanese traditional to the party.
