Kayama Enterprises Ltd. was established in September 2000 in British Columbia, Canada by Doug Yokoyama (President) & Daniel Leung (CEO).

Kayama Enterprises Ltd. was selected by BC for the award "BC Export Award for Marketing Innovation" in 2002. Thorough explanation from how fishes are caught until the final processing was done, and further processing to meet customer request was the power of success behind the increase in yearly sales figure of Kayama Enterprises Ltd.

Doug Yokoyama is excellent in the field of fresh fish sourcing and selection, Daniel Leung is strong in the managing of the sales and marketing. Both have complement each other so well that provide this new company with the strongest foundation to expand rapidly. The company consists of 7 regular staff, 20 part-time in main office & 50 other part-time in another processing plant.

Kayama Enterprise average yearly sales are 7 millions Canadian dollars. Main fish item includes Albacore Tuna, wild salmon, Salmon roe, Farmed Atlantic Salmon, King Salmon, Black cod, Spotted prawn, Herring spawn on kelps and other bottom fishes. They have also begun selling herring roe. Fresh item, frozen item and even fillet are the types of services they provide. They even specialize in value added services according to customer requirement.

Export ratio for Kayama Enterprises is 60% Japan, 25% USA & 15% in Canada, a big difference compared to Japan. The market for USA & Canada is growing rapidly with fresh, frozen and filleted bottom fish. Wild Sockeye, Pink salmon & Chum salmon was also exported to North America.
